Oregon Battle of the Books Challenge Book #2

Not my favorite thing. I would have NEVER picked this book up if I were not reading for this challenge. I did enjoy aspects of it, however, it wasn’t really my thing. I will definitely buy a copy for my classroom though! I think that some of my students would really enjoy it.

I feel like this book was like a puzzle and each story (or sometimes even a part of a story) highlighted the beauty of a specific puzzle piece. The reason this book was not amazing for me was because in the end I hate a really hard time connecting the puzzle pieces together to make a picture. ,synergy that wasn’t the point, because the pieces in themselves are beautiful. However, I was left a little confused.

What an amazing little book of poetry! I must read everything that this author has written.

I am not a fantasy person so a lot of this book went over my head. However, I think my kiddos would really enjoy this! It’s definitely for kiddos who are a bit older than my students though.

What a lovely book! I've been following Christine since I started on Booktube! I was a little nervous to pick this one up because as a booktuber, I didn't want to read the book and not enjoy it. However, that was not the case!

How validating it is to read a coming of age about someone who is not 16! As a 22-year-old person who is still figuring out everything in her life, I loved reading about Shane. I really think it was extremely cute and I enjoyed reading it so much! :)

I think I would have gotten more out of this one if I would have read it physically instead of reading it.

Not my favorite. I'm still trying to understand why.

I will definitely be implementing this in my classroom this upcoming school year!
