"All the Real Indians Died Off": And 20 Other Myths About Native Americans
Dina Gilio-Whitaker, Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz
Super informational and great for me to read as an educator :)
Reread 2020: I reread because I loved the TV show, well, the show was way better than the book in my opinion.

Honestly, this book was just cute. I loved the story line, the characters weren't annoying at all and it's a Christmas book! Who doesn't line Christmas books? (Well, besides Dash....) I can't wait to read more books by this pair :)

Romance doesn’t always need to be fluff. Sometimes your romance requires reality, family drama, cultural drama, and realistic problems that complicate everything. This book did that perfectly while also tying in the perfect amount of fluff. I’m very happy that I picked this one up :)
4.5/5 stars
Soooo I watched the movie of this one first because I've been avoiding this book. Why have I been avoiding the book? That's a wonderful question. I HAVE NO IDEA. I know I made a very distinct choice not to read it when it came out, but I cannot remember why.
Welp, I was robbing myself of joy because this was really really really cute. Like it warmed my heartstrings and melted me to goo. I loved it. The movie and the book are so different by equally enjoyable. I really enjoyed it and I may just have to read the rest in the series.

3.5/5 stars.
I’ve read a lot of inspirational self help type books recently and surprisingly this one didn’t stand out as much as I thought that it would. It was definitely a wonderful made book, but I feel like since I’ve been consuming so many books in this genre, a lot of what was talked about was not new to me.

I liked this one but it wasn’t the best book I’ve ever read. Not really a read aloud book for me but I definitely want it for my classroom library!
SO ADORABLE!! I am super grateful that I have the next book on my desk right now because I am totally starting it super soon!
This was cute! I think I was expecting a little more from the end, but I think that’s why there are sequels. I don’t think I’ll be reading them though.
