i liked it even though I could not really identify with the protagonist all the time - she is like me when I was 14 and i‘ve very much outgrown that person. I anyways like the plot and how the characters are written! All of them are quiet complex and I like how Tori digs and finds out a lot of stuff. I feel like the aesthetic of the book is “sad“ and well it never is a good thing especially for teenagers to make “sad” their whole lifestyle. It’s weird that Tori’s parents don’t care about her or even notice her quiet obvious mental illness. However I enjoyed reading the novel.
This one really is my one of my new favourite books ever. I can’t even articulate how much I loved this.
okay changed my rating to: 2⭐️ but only because it’s trans rep, without it it would have been unbearable
honestly I enjoyed this book, mostly for the representation though. Our main character is really an annoying teenage boy but I love his brother Brian. Being an older sibling myself I just identify with him a lot !! It was a quick read but Noah (mc) was unnecessary rude and made me feel bad. I liked Becca, Brian and Devin and they kept me pushing through.
maybe I just don’t like the “grumpy teenage boy” - vibes.

Somehow I really enjoyed this escape into Nina Dean’s life. This book felt like watching a soap/romcom while still also dealing with a father suffering from dementia, ghosting, online dating and the pressure women in their late 20s and 30s deal with. I recognised Nina’s struggles from my a few of my friends who are getting married/ pregnant and seem to struggle immensely with society’s expectation.
3,5 ⭐️ from me!
Listens to the audiobook and I got many new insights on habit building! Sadly James talks about weight loss a lot which feels unnecessary sometimes, I really enjoyed the chapter summaries though!
