entertaining, tense, loveable characters, interesting worldbuilding, very chill YA read, kind of didn’t like the ending though - will pick up book 2 for sure 

i can see the book being discussed in a school or college setting but for me alone (i mostly read when i commute), it’s too complicated. There are so many characters and settings and I feel like I need more background knowledge or more time to intensely put effort into my reading experience. At the moment I would much rather read for pleasure.

definitely for the Grishaverse fans, me included, very entertaining and tense! Read all the other Grishaverse books before this duology though!

this is now my favourite book. wow. as an asthmatic trans person with pagan tendencies and who grew up in the punk scene as well, this book is all i ever needed in my life.
