I'm not sure Mr Grisham will ever wow me with anything more than three stars anymore as my tastes have changed so much but that shouldn't detract from the way I wanted to know exactly how the story and plot evolved. Proof that I do still like me a legal thriller... of sorts.

As sweet as it is sinister and as perky as it is poignant. A modern classic for several good reasons.

A 4.5 stars from me. One of Chandler's best, in my opinion. Sexy, sassy and no doubt suitably controversial when it was originally published. An easier to follow plot than others but I still didn't see the final reveal coming...

The first book to make me laugh in public for a while, but that could say more about my recent book choices... One I'll be recommending to many.
