The Eyes of the Dragon is a comforting and simple story to read. Almost like the narrator is telling me a bedtime story, sharing their thoughts and commenting on the events. Reminded me of the Shawshank Redemption which is my favourite movie (still need to read the actual book) so bonus points for that! I recommend if you are looking for an easy read.

I feel I went into this book with expectations too high, or simply not accurate to what the book is. It's good, just not for me.

After The Shinning, this book just disappointed me. The two books are just too different to be put into the same series, the only real resemblance is Dan. From the atmosphere to the tone, everything was different. This, in turn, made the book less enjoyable for me, as I was looking for more of a continuation after The Shinning.

Such a bittersweet ending.
It's definitely more of a follow up of the first book and really worth reading if you enjoyed Mr. Mercedes.

Finders Keepers is a lovely story, I actually enjoyed it more than Mr.Mercedes and End of Watch. Stephen King never fails to make a good villain.

This book was fantastic, and it was scary. Particularly
seeing Jack slowly descend into madness
.  There were a lot of unnerving moments, that really made my skin crawl.

And my god, the way King wrote each character was simply amazing. It made me care a lot about Danny, Wendy and even Jack.
It was rather interesting seeing Jack's constant fight against a cycle of physical and emotional abuse, and it always shed new light on the way he behaved.

I started reading this book with high expectations, it did not disappoint me. I can't wait to read more of King's works.

This book was ... weird. Interesting in its own way but can't say I'd read it again.
