This was much more sci-fi than I expected, and I wish that aspect had been fleshed out more, because it would have been a stronger novel. It also could have just been contemporary and been perfect without those aspects.
I'm also not sure how I feel about the love interest's reaction to being told the MC is trans.
I do love the way the cover was revealed in the book, though.

DNF'd for a lot of reasons, but specifically because there are super possessive men EVERYWHERE. Literally every single one of the men in this story are suuuuper possessive and aggressive and want things from the MC.
Also Riley calls a fight between Ember and another girl a chick fight. Seriously? Nah.

This was absolutely fuckin adorable. I thought this would be more nonfiction than it was, but this was a delightful book of cat profiles. How does it get any better than that?
