I'm not going to full review this one because, as someone older than the directed age group, I really can't intelligently review this. Most children would love it. I just couldn't fully enjoy it because it was really immature. Though, the message is sweet, the diversity is amazing, and the characters were totally awesome.

I'm glad I finally read this. It wasn't perfect, but it was an interesting look into the lives of Native Americans waaaay back when.

Everyone needs to read this.
And what a valuable book to read on the first day of pride month amidst protesting about the horrifying death of George Floyd because not only does this book tackle police brutality, but how people treat those with HIV/AIDS. It is by and about Danez Smith's experiences as a queer Black person.
Remember: we wouldn't have pride without POC. Don't you dare take that for granted.
