This book is about more than being a maid. There are so many things that you have to NBC insider when you’re financially unstable that many of us take for granted. At one point, her daughter has a terrible cough and the author nonchalantly mentions that she can’t afford cough syrup. A medication so simple and seemingly affordable is unattainable for this family.

There’s a lot more to this story than the crazy boss who goes through her employee’s phone. All of the characters are complex and add value to the storyline.
