I received an ARC of this book from a Facebook Sponsored Ad. Bizarre. I know. The format is interesting, there are two stories being told. One of the stories is personal and the other the result of intense reasearch. Both storylines were well written though hard to read due to graphic content.

I had to wait longer than usual for this month's selection to arrive which helped to increase the suspense. The book jacket blurb of Final Girls was slightly confusing. This is a book about girls who are only connected because they were the sole survivors of a mass murder. It sounds twisted and it is but in the pages of this novel is a story full of twists, turns, and TWO unreliable narrators. I finished this book over a weekend but it could be read in one sitting. Unless, like me, you're afraid to read it after sunset. #BookOfTheMonth #BOTM #July2017

I found this book on a treadmill junior year of college (2004) and now I've finally read it. It was an interesting read but scary because of similarities between the fictional world and 2017 but that's good writing!

The Love Interest sounded interesting but the storyline was thin. Everything happened very quickly, without much description, and was predictable. This storyline had potential but I didn't enjoy reading it as much as I thought I would. #BookOfTheMonth #BOTM #May2017

I've never really been a Spider-Man fan. I purchased this book for a relcutant readet who is in 7th grade but I figured I should read it first. This is a great story based on an ancient superhero 😂. I loved that the main character was a minority but that wasn't the focus. He's just another teenager with typical teenage problems who also happens to have superpowers. A great read and I hope my middle schoolee loves it as much as I did.

I bought this book almost 10 months before reading it and I couldn't remember what it was about. I constantly looked at the cover and reread the book blurb trying to remember why I would spend money on this book. I eventually resigned to just read it and I wasn't disappointed. The majority of the story takes place over tje course of a single day and Nicola Yoon explores how every decision we make can impact our future. I finished this book in less than 24 hours and enjoyed every line. #BookOfTheMonth #BOTM #December2016

DO NOT LISTEN TO THE AUDIOBOOK!
Did you know that you can return an audiobook you purchase from audible? I learned that from a librarian after complaining that the audio was ruining the story.

In print, the storyteller is the a well written weaving of a handful of stories. This is my inaugural Jodi Picault book and she is an excellent writer. I'm glad I switched to the print version of this invigorating tale rather than quitting it altogether.
