a great novella that had me stressed, creeped out, and in suspense the whole Time! Damn kids...

review to come! my first Joe Hill read and I need to be able to formulate sentences in my head again!

Newman does NOT disappoint in this awesome horror novel that is a tribute to all those "80s horror books." The book had me gasping and even made me clutch my pearls a couple times. Moloch is one freaky dude and those who become infected/possessed do some FUH-REAKY things or have just spine tingling things done to them. I want to read this again for the first time right now! WITHOUT A DOUBT: FIVE STARS!

This was a nice "unofficial" prequel to the Dickens classic, "A Christmas Carol." it was fun to live the life of Jacob Marley before he got all ghosty and weighted down by chains!

What a terrible story. horribly boring. I wish I could give it 0 stars.

Oh my! I absolutely loved the second installment in the Gabriel Davenport series. I love how it picked up from the end of the second one and just put you on a moving train almost immediately! Lee's writing style never disappoints and this is one of those books I hated putting down. My mother came in town and I was like, "But... now I can't read." Morning came and I was like, "But... now I have to go to work." If I was not reading this book then I was thinking about WHEN I could continue reading the book. If you are a fan of the first book then stop dilly dallying and get this one NOW! If you have not read either, just trust all these glorious reviews, buy them both, and see for yourself how enchanting and seductive the shadows are!

A Christmas classic to be read every year!!

This is a book series that I will share with my kids (when they can handle some of the F bombs in it, that is). This is a book and a series that I know I will re-read at some point. This is a book and a series that I will tell people about! While there are only two books currently, this is going to be one of "THOSE" series. Phoebe is witty and sassy as hell. In the first book we got a lot of her, but in this we additionally got more of other characters. We got more GOs (Genetic Other: Tribal, Vampire, Bonewalker) in this one, too. It was nuts watching this whole story unfold and it was a non-stop roller coaster of awesomeness. Fahy's writing is brilliant in part two of the Phoebe Harkness books, and I am finding it so difficult to wait for the next installment!
