What saddens me is that the majority of the people that will read this book, will think that this Patroclus.
That this moaning, weak, incompetent soldier is the same character as the one mentioned in the Iliad.

Instead of a warrior worthy of the Trojan war, worthy of Achilles. Instead of a person who offered counsel, companionship and was important to the cause.

Also, I cannot get over the fact that Achilles didn't die as he was supposed to. Not a single mention of one of the things Achilles is most know for, nothing.
Just a quick death to hastily end the story.

Such beautiful writing, continuing seamlessly the story of a beloved fairytale, where the bad guy isn't who you think it is!
I thoroughly enjoyed this one!

Aaaaaall the feels ✨

Intriguing world, original characters! My favourite was definitely Miskit!

How can I articulate all the emotions this book made me feel...?
Important, poignant, raw, magnificently written, this is a memoir for women all over the world, to feel empowered, strong, to feel seen.

WHAT A BOOK!
Loved the feeling, the atmosphere, everything about it! It was original, clever and so spellbinding!

There were some clumsy moments regarding the plot, but I am definitely willing to overlook that!

Also, loved the unexpected Greek elements, never before would I have thought that I'd read about tsikoudia in a gothic-esque novel!
