This book is brilliant. It was such a magical experience, I appreciated the backstories of the characters that the author has written. I loved that none of these characters were written one dimensionally. I loved the gay representation, I loved that it ended in a way that was one of joy and reconciliation. I loved the mentioned of family therapy; that it was an option that the family was encouraged and wanted to go. Instead of therapy being shunned or stigmatized. I loved how the characters were fleshed out. I loved how childhood sibling jealousy was portrayed; that the celestial beings did not fault Shreya, that people are capable of making bad choices because of bad timing or pent-up emotions and project it onto others. I borrowed it from the library and now I am making attempts to find a copy of the book to purchase.

This book is a must read for everybody who wants to learn how to love themselves. This book is so important to the disability justice movement and listening to the audiobook for a week before I slept left me in happy tears. I never knew I needed to hear all those words of fierce and tender love that were written in this book.
