The fact that this is Leigh Rivers' debut novel is insane; this book is phenomenal. This is an enemies-to-lovers-to-enemies-back-to-lovers second chance dark romance. The story revolves around Kade (MMC), his twin sister Luciella, her best friends Stacey (FMC) and Ty, and his best friends Base and Dez. Kade and Luciella are the children of the notorious serial killer Tobias Mitchell. Believe it or not, that is not the focus of this book.
The story centers on Kade and Stacey. After hating each other in high school, they finally hook up during a game of Truth or Dare. Their love affair has to be kept secret so Luciella doesn't lose it over her best friend being with her brother. Unbeknownst to her, another one of her best friends is also hooking up with one of Kade's friends. During Kade and Stacey's love affair, he finds out she has cheated on him, they break things off, and go back to hating each other.
Fast forward two years, and during a house party, they are thrust back into each other's lives. This description is vague because I do not want to give you any spoilers. Let's just say Kade is no longer the awkward boy she knew in high school, and she is in for a wild ride. The character buildup and plot in this book are so good they hook you right in. I can tell you right now that you should have book 2 on standby when you finish, I ate this book up and I'm diving into Book 2. If you want a series to read, this is it.

This is Book 2 of the Edge of Darkness Trilogy. If you have not read Book 1 yet, then this review will be a little confusing. Book 2 dives into the backstory of everything that has happened between Kade and Stacey in full detail. And this is an emotional ride—you get the full details of what transpired before they separated. From the whirlwind love affair to their deep loss and what truly happened during their breakup. This book is emotional, heartbreaking, and ends on a huge cliffhanger, so you better have Book 3 ready in your Kindle or sitting on your nightstand.
If gaslighting were a sport, the parents of the MMCs in this book would have been Olympic medalists. The FMC, Daisy, is best friends with the MMCs: Owen, Wyatt, King, and Drake. As teenagers, they are living their best lives until one night a cult snatches Daisy and decides to sacrifice her to their god. The boys try to save her, and in the scuffle, Daisy falls off a cliff to her death—or so they think. Fast forward 10 years and a bunch of gaslighting that she never existed later, Daisy is back for revenge. Not only is she unhinged, but the guys slowly realize they are too. The banter between these characters is hilarious at some points. It has a good balance between spice and plot, and yes, it is a HEA.
This book will twist your brain in the best way. I'm going to try to give a review without spoiling anything, the best I can. It was a labyrinth of my own thoughts; in the back of my mind, it was like I knew something was going to happen but I couldn't place what. And when the 'what' is revealed, it's not what I expected. This is such a good read, and now I've gotta get my hands on book 2, "Lockdown".
This is a very sexy read. It follows the story of Avalynn (FMC), aka Ava, and Greyson (MMC), aka Grey, and how when they were young, Grey broke Ava's heart, causing her to move away, thinking she would never see him again. Fast forward seven years, and she finds out she has to return to town for a sister she didn't know she had. Of course, she runs into Grey. Their chemistry is hot, and there is a good balance between spice and plot. If you're looking for a hot, easy-to-read, dual POV dark romance, this is it
I strongly advise against picking up this book solely because you came across it on TikTok. Instead, I encourage you to carefully review the trigger warnings provided by the author. This book delves into themes such as Kink, CNC, TPE, BDSM, and Brotherhood. If none of these elements align with your interests or preferences, it's likely that this book won't be an enjoyable read for you. Please be aware that this is not a deep, philosophical romance that delves into emotions; it's more focused on CNC, kinkiness, and indulgent entertainment. Each character in this book seems to embody the qualities of a walking red flag, and it feels like they might have been the inspiration for creating those red flags in the first place.
This book deserves way more hype. It's like 'Nightmare on Elm Street 3' meets 'Creep Show' with an added twist of spice. The story follows Felicity, who gets sucked into a nightmare reality where her only savior is Kai. But Kai has his own set of problems, having been trapped there for who knows how long. This book really hooks you in. The horror elements and vivid descriptions paint a chilling nightmare in your imagination. I really enjoyed it.
This book is like a good '90s scream movie with spice. It features everyone's POV, slasher-style murders, and in the thick of it, a love story. The character banter is witty throughout, and the storyline keeps you locked in. True to Harleigh Beck's style, there is a twist at the end.
This is a very quick novella of erotic horror. I do not want to give anything away but check triggers . It is a quick story about a taxidermist that has a taste for certain taboo things. But his taste turn reality and you are watching all unfold very very quickly. It's quick and to the point.
This book is exactly what it says it is: an erotic novella. It's hot and a quick read. The plot is minimal but so well-executed that it leaves you craving more. The author hints at other characters having their stories told, and I will definitely jump on those books as well. If you're looking for something steamy with masked men and lots of fun kinks, this is it
