My only gripe is that I wish this book were longer. It’s a quick novella and a super steamy read. The story follows Luna (FMC) as she walks into a Voodoo shop with her friend Kayla to find out if her suspicions about her boyfriend cheating are true. What she doesn’t expect is for the owner of the shop, Sebastien Broussard, to become utterly obsessed with her. If you’re looking for something steamy with a touch of revenge, this is the book for you.

I know this was described as a slow burn, but I devoured it in one day, I was completely engrossed in the story. The book begins with an arranged marriage between Maisie (the FMC) and Wilder (the MMC). Maisie is a sex worker, and Wilder's family owns a farm with some... interesting activities. There are definitely a couple of twists in this book that I never saw coming, but they were executed so well. I would highly recommend this book, especially if arranged marriage is a trope you love.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is Book 2 in the Graveyard Games Duet, and it is phenomenal. Book 1 ends on a cliffhanger, and this one picks right up without missing a beat. The dynamics between the characters are unmatched, with so many layers since they are all so different. I personally enjoyed this one more than the first. It’s fast-paced and keeps you on your toes. Definitely add this duet to your TBR list!

We’re on Book 4, people! If you’ve made it this far, I’m going to assume you’ve read Books 1-3. This one dives into the backstory of Bethany and Nigel, Francine’s mom and Finn’s dad, for clarification. And let me tell you, Bethany is not to be messed with. This story is hot, and I loved how it gives so much insight into the backstory of the parents of the current Bastards. Definitely recommend this series.

This ending had me giggling like a schoolgirl. I’m not sure what that says about me, considering this is an erotic horror, but we’ll save that discussion for another day. So, where do I begin? This is an MM erotic horror, and it’s so good! I don’t want to spoil anything, but one of the MMCs, Ren, is spectacular in this story. The other MMC is Byron, who has recently been released from prison and is trying to put his life back together when Ren starts dating his sister. From there, the story gets wild, and I devoured every bit of it. Definitely add this to your TBR list!

This is definitely going on my Halloween recommendations for this year. This book was dark, spicy, and fast-paced. I’m not sure if I can call it taboo, though, since Hilly (FMC) and Damon (MMC) are potential step-siblings. If you’re looking for a hot, "wham-bam-thank-you-ma’am" kind of read, this is it!

I must warn you, this is a slow burn. Personally, I try to avoid slow burns like the plague, but someone recommended this series to me, saying it was good, so I decided to give it a try. This is Book 1 of the Devils in D.C. series, and it is excellent.
Winter (FMC) is an inspiring psychologist with her own history of trauma and anxiety, and she is accompanied by her service dog, Kitty. She meets Hunter (MMC) and his son, August, while interviewing for a job to help August. There’s an immediate attraction on both sides, and though they try to fight it, this is a romance, after all.
Winter’s past trauma has limited her social interactions, which leads her to conduct August’s therapy sessions at his home. This arrangement not only helps August feel more comfortable but also allows Winter to navigate her own boundaries. The mental health representation in this book is phenomenal.
The story is compelling, heartfelt, and yes, it gets steamy. I 100% recommend this series. Oathbreaker and Reverie are Books 2 and 3, respectively, and they’re just as captivating.

Tangled in Taboo is an anthology featuring 14 unique stories by 14 different authors. Each story is distinct—some are standalone short stories, while others are part of larger works by the authors. Every last one of them is delicious. I don’t typically read anthologies, but navigating through these stories was an absolute delight. Each tale is beautifully written, packed with enough plot and spice to make even the shortest stories feel expansive. They left me craving more. If you love taboo I highly recommend.

4.25 Stars. This was a mindf#ck, and I had to go back and re-read certain parts to make sure I understood them correctly. This is not a dark romance, it’s erotic horror. I’m not going to try to explain the story because every time I attempted to write about it, I ended up including spoilers. That said, this book comes with a laundry list of trigger warnings, including religious trauma and some spicy content. Despite that, it’s well written and a wild ride.
