Read this again for the first time in 13 years and this was just as good as I remember. Book Peeta is way better than movie Peeta. This made me fall in love with Peeta again. I loved how the end up this book sets up for the next games. Also I am growing to love Haymitch🫣

Really enjoyed this book! Odessa, the FMC, was such an enjoyable person to follow, her backstory was super compelling. The story definitely took its time building a solid foundation and world for the rest of the series, and the plot twists? So good. I especially loved the banter and love between Odessa and Ransom (the guardian). THAT ENDING though! I’m already counting down to the next book. This will make such a good film!

WOW WOW WOW!!! I enjoyed this book way more than I thought I would. The chemistry between Kyran & Avi is so insane. I felt their love through the pages. Kyran taking time to rediscover himself and work through trauma while Avi patiently waited for him🥹 this book covers working through trauma and coming to terms with sexuality. The tension & banter ? Chefs kiss. Loved this plot of forbidden enemies to lovers stepbrothers. I will be thinking about them forever <3

Super cute book! Didn't love the third person POV but really enjoyed both Dani & Zafir. Zafir is so obsessed with Dani and has been for a while. He is a security guard at her university and she is a PhD student who has commitment issues. Loved the fake dating trope and the #DrRugbae plot line. The ending was SO cute, cannot wait to read Eve's book.
The 5th and final book in the Windy City series… wow. I never want to leave the world Liz built.
Rio DeLuca, SIR. I was not ready for your game. Ranking the Windy City men? Hard to do. But Rio? He YEARNED for Hallie for 15 years. This was second chance romance PERFECTION.
The past and present scenes are so good and really showcase this as a second chance hook. The friendship bracelets. The mixtape. The boom box he still uses to play her CDs. The heart tattoo over his chest. The house he bought just in case she found her way home. The not touching anyone else for SIX YEARS because everyone was compared to Hallie!!!!! THE REASON BEHIND THE NEW JERSEY NUMBER? I cannot.
The banter, the pining, the title meaning—everything was so intentional. Hallie’s strong, talented, independent—and Rio is fighting for her to lean on him for support. That moment with the song to “rewind it back”? Tears.
Realizing Rio was the beginning of this entire found family, my heart. I love how involved he is with the girls and their friendship together. I will forever love Rio obsessing over Ryan and seeing their relationship grow.
I’m going to miss these characters so much… but I already know Monty & Reese’s book will be everything.

Enjoyed this via Audio Book & the narration was so good. Different from Emily Henry's usual books. It gave the seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo vibes with the story telling of Margaret but adding in romance between Alice & Hayden. The last 20% really sold me on the book but the first half felt a little dry. The ending was SO cute!

6/5 ⭐️
This book wrecked me in the best way. An instant 6-star read !!! I’ll be thinking about it forever. Georgia felt so real. Her complicated family dynamics hit close to home, and the way the author handled the emotional abuse & sensitive topics with care was amazing. SAM PENNY, THE MAN THAT YOU ARE!!! He didn’t let her run away. He showed up, fought for her, and loved her out loud. The who is Alexis plot had me on my toes, I couldn't wait to see what they uncovered. This is a beautiful romance book but overall so healing & beautifully. Here’s to every reader who sees a little of themselves in Georgia.

Sage is hands down my favorite main character so far in this series. She’s bold, outgoing, and fun! Beau, a grumpy isolated rancher who hires Sage to take photos and market his new ranch. Beau is married and her boss but his divorce is super messy because of his manipulative ex. I loved the whole “forbidden” vibe of their relationship and how they tried to handle their feelings while he was still legally married. The ex-wife drove me INSANE, so annoying and the third-act breakup actually made sense for the characters to take time and grow. Beau doing that big speech in front of a crowd for Sage I’m obsessed. They’re everything!
And OMG the preview for the next book—hello, give it to me NOW.
Tropes:
✨Married Boss/Employee
✨Age-Gap
✨Banter
✨Former Bull Rider MMC
✨Hyper Independent FMC

Really enjoyed a deeper dive into Cam's relationships with the family & farm outside of her being Riley's mom. Dusty has been patiently waiting FIFTEEN!! years to be with Cam again. I love how they both still have their tattoos for each other & communicate through the third act conflict (shout out Wes with the words of wisdom). What a great ending to this series.
