It's a well written easy read. I am looking forward to seeing where the series goes, it gives me tamora pierce vibes.

Not my usual book, quite scary and very tense, but well written. Not too dense or too simple. And an interestin take on the twelve dancing princesses.

It is a light, easy read, Aya ling has taken the trope of beauty and brawn and flipped it on it's head. 

Beautifully written, light hearted and inspiring. Some elements of miss peregrines, but with a much lighter tone.

It's quite dense with a rather large and complex cast. However both the characters and plot are very well written and despite it being slow to get into it ends very well.

Absolutely love the book. It is written as the memoirs of a female naturalist going on a very typical 1800 style expedition, only for her animal of interest to be dragons.

I think it is a very good book, the story is interesting and well written, my only critique is that I was too ignorant to fully enjoy the book as many of the references went over my head.

It continues the dark academia themes from the first book, including more fantasy elements. I preferred the longer chapters and less pov shifts in the first book, but over all a very good read.

Absolutely loved the book can't wait for the next one. It was well written and a very quick read
