Honestly, reading this felt like I was reading a full length novel with no ending in sight. There just wasn’t enough happening to keep things interested and by 30% I couldn’t read more than a paragraph before my mind started wandering. 

The writing felt incredibly juvenile and unfortunately, nothing captured me in the beginning. 

I enjoyed this a lot more my second time around! It's always been a good book, but something about it just hit different this time. The tone is fantastic- almost whimsical, but still dark and creepy. The pacing is perfect and Joe's character is fucking facinating.
