4,5/5. I was intrigue. I still am! Good start, I like the link they did with every part of the Watchmen franchise, because yeah it has become one. We end it with more question than answer and it might not be exactly what I thought it would, but I enjoy it and will read the next ones for sure. I think I read it's going to be a 12 issues run and that might be a good number for this kind of stories.

Really interesting! Surprising, fun, entertaining, a bit of action, a bit of mystery, some love too. I'm looking forward reading the next one!

Récit ou mémoire troublant sur les atrocités de la guerre vue par un médecin. Bien qu’une certaine redondance s’installe au fil des pages, les horreurs que certains hommes peuvent commettre non simplement aucune limite. Certaines pages sont franchement dures à lire, mais on ne tombe jamais dans la complaisance ou le graphique, le propos est juste et même les scènes choquantes servent le propos. J’aurais aimé qu’une plus grande proportion du livre soit sur le TSPT. Bien que ce ne fut pas exactement ce à quoi je m’attendais, cela s’est avérée être une lecture troublante, mais bien intéressante.

2,5/5. An intriguing start for a book that have trouble finding itself along the way. The story starts really fast and we jump right into the action and into this world, but maybe too fast and it has trouble making its purpose clear as well as the overall settings of the universe. So we ends up reading a series of action, which aren’t uninteresting, but with not much idea of where we are going and we also have trouble picturing the world we’re in. Some potential, but not much as it is!

This one wasn't that good. A too hard trying intrigue and illustration style a bit childish for me. I was bored half way through it, which isn't a good thing. Didn't like it!

Awesome fantasy comic!! A rare thing but a true beauty in both story and arts department! I'm certainly on for an adventure!!

Kind of an in-between book (sorry I couldn’t resist!). Helping children noticing the emptiness, the time off, the in-between time between two things. Could be an interesting exercise to do and the book is good and the sense that it made you think of doing so or try it, but other than that you don’t really need the book to do it. Bring a nice idea, but not much to support or back it up.

J’avais vu plusieurs comparaisons avec les Chairs de poules et c’est ce qui m’avait attiré vers ce roman. Je n’y ai pas trouvé grand-chose d’intéressant. Je suis certes plus vieux que le public cible et n’ayant pas lu ce livre en bas âge comme les Chairs de poules, je n’ai pas ressenti la même nostalgie. Une histoire d’horreur pour enfants/préados qui ose un certain niveau d’horreur, ce que j’ai apprécié, mais qui offre une qualité «littéraire» assez banale.

Récit, chroniques, hommages, difficile de catégoriser ce livre. Il m’a par contre charmé par la beauté de l’écriture de l’auteur, les très nombreuses citations qui parsèmes le livre et les réflexions sur la vie. J’ai adoré en lire quelques «chapitres», un ou deux, ici et là, le soir avant de me coucher au cours des dernières semaines. J’ai bien aimé!

3,5/5. Un roman policier très léger, mais qui ne prétend pas être autre chose alors on ne peut pas vraiment s’en plaindre. J’ai été agréablement surpris par la qualité de la plume de l’auteur, ce qui me donne le goût de lire certain de ces précédents romans, peut-être un peu plus consistant. Je préfère mes romans policiers ou thrillers beaucoup plus noirs, allez dans les bas-fonds de la condition humaines et de ses vices, ce qui n’est évidemment pas le cas ici, c’est pourquoi mon appréciation chute un peu, mais si vous chercher un roman plus léger, lecture de plage peut-être pour l’été, sans faire de compromis sur la qualité littéraire, ce livre pourrait être un bon choix!
