A decent fairy tale adaptation nothing more, nothing less. I was expecting prettier illustrations based on the cover, they were alright but again not much. Pretty average.

Intrigue complexe, de très nombreux personnages et tout autant de lieux. Une elcture qui demande certes de l'attention, mais un excellent livre dans l'univrs de Dune. J'ai aimé tous les liens faits avec la série originale et comment ce prélude nous montre le début, la formation, des relations, partenariats et amitiés. Excellent prélude!

3,5/5. Funny «dark» humor. Nothing really serious here just a bunch of jokes about outcast and weirdos. I find it fun and I really love the artworks. Entertaining!

There have been a lot of hype about this new series coming out and so far, yeah it's still just one issue so we will stay calm, it's a very good start. Strange universe/concept, a bit darker then most, good artworks, not so sure I like Bruce style, the hair cuts and all but... I'm curious to see how it will evolve but I'm definitely in!!

Ouchhh. Very simple (if not cheap) absurd web comic humor and illustration. I just never laugh one bit reading it. Not my style of humor, just too light and easy for me.

The art was great and there is good action. But, yes there is one, the story is just not really captivating and not original at all. You can’t help of thinking about Aquaman. Nd I said it so many times, if you want to come in the super-hero game you have to bring something really original to deserve your place in a world that is already full of it and where a lot has already been done!

You know what you're going in for when you get a Ripley's book. Weird tales and crazy stuff, but still I was expecting something more weird or strange, more intriguing, this is a bit too casual weirdness and with the year it has become closer to a world record book then anything else. I was a bit disappointed by it. I had higher expectation!

Une autre aventure passée en compagnie du jeune Merlin. D'un point de vue individuelle, chaque aventure est divertissante, intéressante et contient suffisamment d'action pour accrocher un jeune lecteur. Par contre, l'éternel enjeu du temps trop court pour arriver à accomplir ça quête, et finalement le temps de faire beaucoup trop de choses en ce lapse de temps trop court, devient un peu ennuyeux et inutile. De plus, au niveau de la série, l'histoire globale évolue assez peu, trop peu à mon avis d'un tome à l'autre. Cela demeure une série que j'aime bien, qui se lit rapidement et que je vais certainement mener à terme, mais qui malheureusement contient quelque petite imperfection qui lui font perdre une étoile.

2,5/5. Not my favorite of Lemire work that's for sure. Even if highly rated on Goodreads for me this was not a good one and I won't continue on with this series. The art was off from the start but I give it a try anyway because of the author, yes jeff Lemire, and producing a decent story there just wasn't anything that grip me and on which I can hold and enjoy while reading it and going on with the series. Just wasn't for me I guess!

Tentant cette année d’introduire plus la littérature jeunesse dans l’enseignement de la lecture auprès de mes élèves, ce livre est une de mes premières trouvailles dans la bibliothèque de mon école. Très bien illustré, simple (dans le bon sens) et drôle, ce livre me semble intéressant. Moi, je l’ai bien aimé, reste à voir la réaction des plus petits!
