3,5/5. I like the concept behind this book a lot. I'm a huge maps lover so it picks my curiosity! The information are good, very instructive and touch a bit of everything. Perfect to build general culture and not just geography. Unfortunately, the visual aspect of it let me down a bit. It wasn't really pretty and the map could have look way better. Great idea, great content but the canvas could have been better. Still worth it, and the visual aspect is kind of a personal taste thing so some reader might find it perfect the way it is!
Great book, great series! It gets better and betters has it goes!
3,5/5. This is the kind of book that even if I didn’t enjoy it that much, I see and recognize the potential. I think that a younger audience would like it more. For personal preference, the art wasn’t for me and the story too slow, not epic enough. That being said it has decent artwork if you like the style and the humor/action/storyline is good enough to make it worth it, again probably more for young reader and that is the targeted age for this book so can’t blame them for not liking it much has an adult. Personal liking 2,5/5 potential 4/5. I’ll go with a 3,5/5 round up to four, seem more fair that way!
Another book about first day of school. What makes this one different was that the little girl is just over enthusiasm about it and it's the dad that seem less sure, more hesitant, so it bring a funny tone to it and provides a different feeling than most of those, which often are around a child a bit anxious about his/her first day. Well done!
Something didn't click between this book and me. I find it boring really soon into it, I find it a bit long for the audience and I never was able to enjoy it. Maybe it was just me but unfortunately I didn't like it!
2,5/5. It was okay! It was a fun fall story but I drop it a couple of stars because it just had way too many fall clichés into it and overall felt a bit generic and, maybe not empty, but easy. I don't regret reading it but I wouldn't see myself recommending it!
4,5/5. First, this might not be the best novel in term of plot or intrigue. The end might even be a bit cheesy. But I don't mind at all! Why? Because for me, you don't read, I don't read, Matt Haig for plot or storyline. I read him because he makes me think, feel and hope! And that is more than enough for me!
This book is all about time and what you do with it, the lives that cross ours, love, fear and like always with this author we get a bunch on anxiety and social «awkwardness». I love every page of it and I stand by my first words of this review, but this doesn't bother me. It was a fun novel that have come into my life at the perfect time and I like it a lot.
Matt Haig is an author I discover last year and I kind of rapidly enough get to read everything he has done so far and I will certainly read whatever he writes next. We seem to have similar struggles in life and his book just help thinking about those, evolving, getting over them while having a good reading time!
Thank you M. Haig!

Not still sure how I feel about this Empyre thing but so far this isn't a great hit for me!
3,5/5. It was good to finally being able to go on with this series. Maybe not the best issue but a good one, entertaining even if not really original.
