3,5/5. A novella who was able to establish a very atmospheric gothic vibe to it very quickly and hold on to it which was very great. The book is weird, even some dark humor at some point, and like I said, a very good ambiance. The characters are okay and well introduce/develop for such a short story, the story itself is a bit less than 100 pages. The only reason I drop my rating, and having read some reviews I'm not the only one who think that, is because the ending is terrible. The book is close to five stars, but with a poor two stars ending. Easy, non-sense, not even close to the whole story, even destroy a good part of what the story had build, really weird narrative choice by the author and that cost it greatly in my opinion, being a very ending fan reader. I'm still interest by these author and will look up for what else he has done because he clearly has talent, but I hope he don't end all of his works like that!

3,5/5. A well done contemporary comic about a girl who has some «problem» with her weight, she is «chubby» and it affects her, how she sees herself and how she think people, boys mostly, see her. A comic about acceptance and self esteem. Not really my kind of thing, or subject of interest, but it was surprisingly good and well done, so if you are into it, this might be worth looking at!

Comme bien des recueils, des hauts et des bas, certains méritent un trois, d'autres un cinq, pour une moyenne de quatre. J'avoue ne pas avoir été particulièrement rejoint pas le style d'écriture de Dickens, je renterais surement un jour avec un de ses romans pour valider ou non mon intérêt, mais je m'attendais à être un peu plus éblouit.

J'ai trouvé ce livre moins intéressant et moins instructif que ceux de cette collection. Pourtant c'était un sujet qui m'intéressait et dont je ne connaissais pas grand chose... Si vous avez un très grand intérêt pour l'architecture et que vous êtes un néophyte allez-y, sinon, ce n'est peut-être pas nécessaire.

Je connaissais l'histoire par le titre comme tout le monde, mais je me suis vite aperçu que je ne connaissais rien de cette histoire en fait. Un personnage méprisable à souhait, mais une pièce de théatre bien agréable à lire, pas autant que Cyrano, des mois plus tard j'y pense encore, mais tout de même une belle lecture!

Not bad, there is a peaceful beauty to it but unfortunately this isn't enough to make a good book. The story is too slow, too peaceful, and we soon drift away, loosing attention to it, and that's isn't a good thing. A better pacing, a bit more «action» and it would have been a great book!

2,5/5. This was original and unique... but having a light bulb as your main character might not be the best way to develop an epic tale. Original sure, great, not really!

2,5/5. Gorgeous illustrations and a nice inspiration from Anne of Green Gables. Unfortunately that's about all there is. The book/story in itself is a bit too light/empty for my taste.

Pas d'évolution incroyable dans ce deuxième tome, mais l'enquête suit son cours et demeure toujours aussi captivante. Les personnages sont aussi bien attachants. Une bande dessinée bien sympathique donc j'ai hâte de lire la suite!

2,5/5. Another web comic cartoon style. «Funny» in a very light way, the kinds of thing at which I will smile while reading it on the Internet, but buying and reading an entire book of it... well that's another thing. Not much for me!
