2,5/5. Nice art but a bit empty as a book. The information about Taekwondo is interesting and I love the values it presents and the message of perseverance, but all that is not well place in a story, felt a bit force in, and the cohesion, mixing everything up, wasn't working. Good elements but the alchemy failed us here.

3,5/5. For an older audience then the format of the book might make you think. Yes it's a small book with a lot of illustrations, but the content is kind of dense and the informations about electricity, engineering and others things are well explain but at the same time clearly not intent for 5 year old of course... I would say maybe more around 9-10 years old, always hard to guess, but just don't get fooled by the format. If not and interesting book, nothing mind blowing but worth reading!

2,5/5. Over simplify. it's a comic book adaptation of the story, under 25 pages long, the book is 34 but the story is really not much then 25 so of course it pass on every part in a blink. I think that going with a comic version it could have been a bit longer and still be easily read by young reader. Too short.

I love this short novel, making the transition from picture book to reading novel for kids. It even has chapters, very short, but I like the concept of developing/discovering the frame of a real novel with younger readers. The story is cute, fun, educative (with the sign language) and it just take on a lot in a short book without feeling to dense or too much. Perfect execution!

First of all, how cool is this cover? It speaks right to the soul of the little me, and even the more adult me! The illustrations of the book are all as good so that is a strong points. The story is okay, but I would have like something a bit more... a bit more cohesion in it. It seem like the story lack some fluidity. A bit like the different chapters just a pieces here and there but not much between them, a lack of continuity maybe. I have hard time finding the right word... Anyway, even if not perfect, this book was fun and is a good entry points for fantasy for reader that just start to read «novel», novel for young kids here, three chapters, 40 pages so... But a fun entry point for kids I sure would have love it (more then I already did) as a kid! Totally worth it!

Very good children book!! It was funny, have book love in it, always a win with us books lovers, it also have father/daughter relationship and a very nice «crossover» from various characters from fairy tales or other children classic stories. I enjoy this read!

The break after issue #3 was a good thing. Completely new start and way better since #4! Lot of action and a solid and dense storyline like Hickman knows how to do. Good to see it back on track!!

Bunch of short stories that try to be «horror» or to do an homage to Poe. Poorly done, the art was alright but the story in every aspects of them were bad. Not scary, not good, no surprise, no twist... Waste of time and a disgrace to Poe name.

This one is a case of strange audience. It has a very childish style and humor but at the same time some elements are more adults contents. In my opinion this isn’t funny enough for adult and maybe not quite «suitable» for kids… It wasn’t that bad, but I wouldn’t see to whom I might be able to recommend it. Easy and simple humor… too easy for me…

3,5/5. Interesting Joker's comic... but I was expecting something more. Being focus directly on him in a «special» issue. Good but nothing ground breaking!
