3,5/5. Intriguing concept and story. A solid and gripping thriller until maybe the last quarters unfortunately. I was so good and even if some reaction or choice by the characters wasn't always believable. I was still very good. But the ending bring lot of non sense in the reason of it all, the who did it, the why, and the general conclusion was far away for the overall quality of the book. It was going straight at a four out of five, but the ending is a low two. I don,t want to give bad rating just because of a bad ending so I round it up to 3,5/5, but it could have been better. Good book, bad ending!

4,5/5. This was very good, close to great, maybe even a bit great! I like the characters a lot, there are entertaining, they seem real and we get attach to the good one and hate the bad one a lot. The story is very original compare to most of the fantasy novels and even if it was a bit slow from time to time (this is mostly and intrigue and scheme plot, and thief, so not much action/fighting, it has some but it isn't the main element of the book for sure!), the beginning was very long for me, it has taken me close to 200 pages to feel invest in it, the story was captivating and we really want to see how it will goes. The ending let me down a bit, it was good, but it felt a bit easy, like everything fall down a bit to fast and pieces fit some tie to perfectly where they should have been a bit rougher. In the end this is a very solid novel and strong debut to a series that I sure will continue quite soon. And considering the fact that it was a debut novel (at least I think it is) for the author, it is even more impressive and promising for the future!

3,5/5. Strong positive message which I always like in children book but it's a bit to idealistic here. Helping everyone and everyone being happy and perfectly please by what you do... the message is great, just seem push to the extreme a little too far for me!

That was terrible! A book about «family» which end up being way more about reproduction, which is fine, but the quantity of text is big, way too much text for younger reader, and even if and adult read it, just not appropriate to the targeted public. A total failed in my opinion!

This book just didn't get to me. Not that I hate goose or anything but I felt terribly indifferent to what was happening to the characters. Younger reader and animal lover might feel more emphatic then I did...

Again a beautiful message about love and meditation but get it to the extreme just make it a bit ridiculous. meditation is important and can be helpful for a lot of children , but made them believe that it,s close to magical powers... Not sure I agree with that!

Not for me! Just not the style of story that I enjoy. A bit too dense, not entertaining enough. I'm not a reader who like easy or simple story, even for kids, I like a message or some depth in the story but this one just seem like it try to shoot everywhere and missed everywhere. It should have focus on one or two elements and not all of those!
