A tribute to all the grand-father and a story about love and grief! The illustration where not particularly my style but it was a good match for this story. A short story that will goes straight to your heart!

This one wasn’t as good as The Chalk Man. It was good, entertaining, but it lacks the depth in the writing and in the story that her previous book had. For the ¾ of the book, it felt like a mixed of It and Pet Sematary, both by Stephen King. The story still drives us fast in a real page-turner way and I really enjoy the balance between real/unnatural things that we just can decide if it’s real or a delusion, that was the best part. The ending unfortunately takes a weird turn (Ohhh Gloria… why are you even in this story…) and it get my rating down a bit. I will go with a 4/5, but really close to be 3,5/5. It was okay but after The Chalk Man being one of my best thriller, if not The best of the summer, I had very high expectation and this one did not deliver fully!

Good but not great. The story does involve the most iconic villains in the Batman universe and the detective intrigue kept us in for the ride. Unfortunately too many turn over and «twist» make the ending less impressive. I did like close up on the relation between Batman and Catwoman a lot. Good, but again my expectation had me hope for a bit more!

Don’t get fooled by the Lovecraftian tag on it, this has nothing to do with Lovecraft arts. The illustrations look a bit sketchy but I was fine with it. Unfortunately they didn’t bring the horror to a «realistic» style or close enough to make it really «scary». The story has nothing original to it. And I couldn’t have care less about the main character. Not worth it in my opinion!

Collection of funny facts presented in a original and visual format. Entertaining and I find it's always fun to learn new stuff!

Simple question or reflexion to ask yourself, your life partner, a friend, or anyone. Some are better then others but more then decent for this kind of book!

Very unique illustration and storytelling style. Not sure it really please me but I had to mention the originality. The story does a good job at telling a complex political story with simple visual and word. Interesting exploration of style but not a book that please me much!

2,5/5. First tine reading Sanderson and I was so disappointed. I understand from the review that his book seems to be better, and I really hope so, because this comic wasn’t good at all. It has some of interesting element, the magic system is great, and the world is interesting, but we see the Dune inspiration a bit too much. The characters are so clichés that I never was able to like or get attach to them and finally the story… same comments as the characters clichés and not likable, a very pale political intrigue that never catch my attention. I will get a look at the second one, see if it gets better, but I’m worry! Like it or not, I will read some novels from Sanderson to really give this guy, that so many people talk about, a real chance!

This «romance» or use of fiction to feel the blank biography is very interesting. It’s kind of based on letters exchange between Vincent and Theo (all of them are put together in another book, Letter to Teo, or something that I own but not have read yet) and its written in a novel way to make it, maybe, more interesting to read. We feel the time, the worries and the love of brothers. A surprisingly good book with which you will learn and have a good time!

It was worst then the first one. Can't get into it.
