3,5/5. Not so good. Big high but deep low as well. There is a lot of characters and a lot of interesting one but just seem like the story is trying to hard to be epic and it may fail. We'll see. Still in for the next one!

Surévalué! Sans être complètement mauvais, l'auteure a du talent et c'est bien écrit (quoi qu'un peu trop lent et descriptif à mon goût). L'histoire est cependant assez ennuyeuse (littéralement parlant). Une histoire d'horreur d'une famille comme les autres. La réalité crue d'un milieu disfonctionnel. C'est une réalité horrible dont il faut parler certes, mais j'ai trouvé que l'émotion ne passait pas à travers le personnages principale et que sa vision du monde, par ses yeux d'enfants, ne rendait pas très réalistement cette vision enfantine, on voit l'adulte derrière l'enfant.

De plus, sur une note plus éditoriale, les gens devraient arrêté de vouloir lire la réalité ou la voir à la télé et s'occuper des choses horribles qui se passent près d'eux, dans leur famille, leur milieu, leur rue. Aujourd'hui seulement, par mon travail, j'ai eu vent/cotoyé/traité de deux dossiers d'agressions sexuelles sur des mineurs (un par un adulte et un par un autre enfant (des enfants qui agressent d'autres enfants nous en sommes rendu là), deux cas de négligences parentales sévères et un couple qui auront bientôt un enfant, le père a 12 ans et la mère 14. C'est ma journée. Oui j'ai besoin de m'évader un peu dans la lecture le soir, certains auraient peut-être intérêt à s'évader un peu moins et à ouvrir les yeux sur le monde qui les entoure.

Great comic in what look like a greater new series/concept! Looking forward to see the next Defenders. Awesome illustrations styles and a solid gripping story! Love every second of it!

2,5/5. I like my heroes to be darker and have some flaws. This heroes was just to perfect, to white shinning armor style and with every powerful all mighty God like element. This is a bad-ass female hero who is not so current and might be enough for some readers to like it, but not for me. Also, I find the illustrations to be beautiful, but the action scene were not really well presented, «hard» to follow and just didn’t show the true power of the action elements and brutality of it.

Cute little story that present both the cycle of life of avocado and an introduction to numbers while repeating again and again the number 1-2-3. All of that accompanied by great illustrations. This is the perfect example of simple and awesome at the same time!

A bit charge in the illustrations department. There are a lot of little things and details and all in a style that wasn’t really great for me. The story present the relation between humans and nature in the cycle of life from microorganism into the sea too us. That part was interesting but there are book who present it in a more precise/clearer way. Good, but lack the little wow effect to reach another level!

2,5/5. This is a very cute book and kind of an homage from a parent to his own kid, but there is no story, the illustrations are ok but nothing very original or unique. I’m not so sure how kid would react to a book like that. Probably cuter for a parent to read to his kid that for the kid himself. Not really my style of children book!

This book is great for three reasons. First of all the story is good and funny. Second, it present/explain how and why a dog may react to something, that it has feeling like human. Third but not least, it can also be use has a metaphor to explain and talk about children behavior in face of abandon of fear of abandon. Really well done!

Funny story and also end with what may start a interesting reflexion/discussion on what make a family.

Almost a wordless book. There is not many words, more or less three sentences that are repeat about 3-4 pages. It’s nonetheless a good book that cans, again, a discussion about what it means to be brave. That being said, I must admit, not something I said often, but rally hate those illustrations, there well done in their own style, but for personal preference I didn’t find them pretty at all.
