I never read novelization of movie et novelization of comic because I don't think this is a good «creativity process» and don,t really believe in the result. I decided to make an exception of this one, The Killing Joke (comic) being so damn good I have to try this one. I should have stick to my original mind. This wasn't good. The writing was not bad, but far from bringing something more to the comic, which I though should have been the strongest element, the story was already good in the comic, so you have to bring something new, which left you more or less two choices, the writing or the psychology of the characters. That second point wasn't there either. So both elements that could have elevate this story were not there. I also think that the introduction to the Batman world were rush and at the same time unnecessary. It really depends were you want to go from there. If you have in mind to produce more Batman novel, then just make a novel that put the universe in place and don't start with a iconic one like this. If not and you address your book to people you already know Batman and who are just there for that book/experience, then don't bother making look like an intro in the first quarter of it. That being said, I isn't entirely bad and it wouldn't be fair to make it look like it. I think that younger reader, you haven't read the Killing Joke or even Batman comic, and are not necessarily comic fan, may enjoy it. I don,t think this book is for comic reader of the Batman universe, but is more targeted to conquer a new public, to the DC/Batman universe. Maybe I'm wrong, it's just my impression. Bottom line, not entirely bad, but far from good either!

This is probably one of the worst, if it isn't the worst, children book I have read this year. Complete nonsense and uninteresting! I know I sound rude saying it like that, but trust me, or have a look, and you will see my point!

This is a very well done and very complete piece of work here. I read a kindle version but I need to put my hand on a paper copy to get trough it and go around with it. A very well done book! If you love whiskey (and scotch) you should have a look at this one!

2,5/5. Not so sure what I just read. Not much of an essays book like I though it would be. Very personal, closer to a biographies with small reflexion on writing. Well written, not doubt about the writing style, very beautiful, but too personal and not enough philosophical for my taste. Not what I was expecting!

Probablement la meilleure série que j’ai lu de ma vie, et sans aucun doute dans mon top 3. Une série incroyable que ce dernier tome conclu à merveille. Originale, unique, un mélange terriblement bien réussi de fantastique et de science-fiction, des thèmes riches et bien approfondies et une histoire tout simplement épique. J'avais énormément d'attente pour ce dernier tome que j'ai dévoré en une journée et demie et je n'ai pas été déçu du tout. Une série qui a remporté le Hugo award pour chacun de ses tomes, trois années consécutives, et qui malgré des notes très élevées, ne fait pas assez parler d'elle. Si vous aimez le fantastique et ou la science-fiction, vous devez découvrir cette série!! À lire!!

Je n'ai pas du tout apprécié ma lecture. Juste des nouvelles d'une époque révolue. Pas mal écrit, mais rien de véritablement charmant ou accrocheur non plus. Juste terne.

3,5/5. Brief explanation of pollination all beautifully illustrated. I'm not sure this will reach a large public, but it's a decent enough introduction to the subject and easy enough to go in for young reader. Good!

Not funny at all. Yeah I know a joke book... what to expect from that... nothing much but still something better then that. I didn't even laugh once!

Not good or useful at all. This would have been a good idea 25 years ago. I's just a bunch of letters from various styles with lines to makes your practice writing them. Take a computer, scroll trough the font and choose some you like, then print them with a bunch a line to help you practice writing them. And here you are, saving a lot of money! Not worth it!

Santa is sick of materialism and that Christmas is all about gifts and nothing about family values anymore. What a good idea. A book that bring Christmas back to what it should be, great way to introduce a dialogue with your kid bout this subject, and the writing is all in rhymes so it's pretty to read at loud with your children. Really really love the message of this book!
