A simple but pretty book that tell a really soft Halloween story. It's a good way to introduce, explain and talk about the concept of Halloween so the young one could understand and have an idea of what it's before actually live it, and so, they won't be scare by it. For the very young, but a good book!

An adaptation, or inspired by, Anna of Green Gables, a well know story, that I never read, so can say if the relation to it is well done. Anyway, the illustrations style of this book is so beautiful, and just that made the book worth it for me. The story in itself is a bit light, but there is a good «be grateful» vibe to it that I loved. Worth it!

J'avais adoré Sous béton de cette auteure, mais j'avoue qu'ici, je suis resté sur mon appétit. Une plume magnifique, toujours, cela ne change pas, cette femme sait écrire il n'y a aucun doute. J'ai aussi aimé plusiuers des sujets abordés: l'image de soi, l'anxiété et l'isolement/repli sur soi. Ce qui m'a un peu déçu c'est le côté trop auto-fiction, trop personnel, ce qui à la place de fournir ue réflexion plus philosophique, plus générale, nous amène dans une expérience intime et très personnelle, certains pourraient voir ce qui fut un point faible pour moi comme une grande force, c'est réellement une question de préférence ici rien d'autre. De plus, le récit présente un point de vue très féminin, et je trouve que du point de vue d'un lecteur masculin, cela rendait la lecture moins intéressante, tout est personnel et féminin, alors je cela acréé une distance, je ne me suis pas vu, ni même aperçu dans ce livre et je m'y suis détaché. Un livre qui n'était pas mon style, mais qui a tout de même des qualités indéniables et auxquels je n'oserais donner une note plus basse que ce trois étoiles.

This is the worst comic I've read in a very very long time. I think DC was able to bring a marriage and still be dark and keep the super-heroes vibes in it. Marvel failed totally doing it. It became so cheesy, so childish and very boring, with tons of clichés. Ouch...

Au risque de passer pour xénophobe après sexiste (ceux qui suivent mes critiques comprendront l'allusion, les autres laisser-aller), je n'ai malheureusement pas aimé ce livre. Le sujet est important et parle d'une partie sombre de l'histoire du Canada, les pensionnats autochtones, comme presque tout ce qui est en lien avec les autochtones au Canada, est une honte terrible. D’un point de vue strictement littéraire par contre, le style m'a ennuyé et m'a rapidement fait décrocher de l'histoire. J'aurais bien voulu apprécier, mais ce ne fut pas le cas!

Good one. A bit light in the storyline, but still a entertaining comic book!

A bit slow but a good confrontation, more mentally then physically, between the Joker and Catwoman!

Too many uninteresting dialogues kill this one. So many heroes and villain, but a story that just not able to get a grip in me.

3,5/5. Malgré quelques petites longueurs dans le milieu, j'ai bien aimé ce livre, surtout dans le dernier tiers où tout prend place et le rythme augmente de façon significative. On y retrouve les trois personnages du premier tome, mais un an plus tard, il est agréable de constater l'évolution des personnages, ils vieillissent et ne sont pas statiques dans le temps. Dans le premier, l'ambiance était plus fermé, un huis clos, mais dans celui-ci un peu moins, ce qui rend l'atmopshere moins effrayante, moins étouffante. J'ai bien hâte de voir où nous mènera le troisième et dernier tome, qui est touours à paraître en français pour le moment...

The Simpsons. Always funny! We find the same humor style that make them who they are for years now. The comic book really gets us into their universe and it's has funny as the TV show can be. The book is composed of shorts stories that goes around 20 pages each, more or less If you like the TV show and want to enjoy those characters in a different format, this comic book might be a good choice!
