Really not for me. I found the story meaningless, the illustrations were not my style at all and there is nothing much in it to make it interesting in any in my opinion. Also the writing were so small, I know it's probably for the parents to read to his kids, but in children book, I like when the scripture are big enough for the young one to at least begin to see the letters and start to create a compression of what writing and reading is.

Cute story, nothing out of the ordinary, but it bring the notion of night working, and there, it can be use to explain to a child why is night working and why his mom or dad has to go away at night to work.

Une fois de plus à contre courant, malgré une note très élevée sur goodreads, je n'ai pas du tout aimé ce livre. Peut-être que si j'aurais vécu les évènements historiques entourant l'histoire le tout m'aurais plus rejoint, mais j'en doute. Le livre est écrit avec un style assez terne, rien de percutant ou de flamboyant, on raconte, on récite. Les personnages ne sont pas désagréables, mais j'aurais voulu m'y attaché plus, ils m'ont laissé généralement assez indifférent je dois dire. Et pour l'histoire, et bien, c'est ce qu'on retrouve trop souvent au Québec tant en livre que la télévision, un drame familliale assez classique. Finalement, je trouve que certains romans québécois semblent souvent moussés par les lecteurs. Désire de soutenir haut et fort notre culture au delà du sens critique? Je n'en sais rien, mais ce genre de déception pour de grands livres québécois m'arrive trop souvent. Peut-être suis-je le problème, mais en tout cas, je n'ai pas aimé ce livre.

Je me suis surpris a apprécié ce livre qui pourtant n'a pas une très bonne note sur Goodreads et qui en plus n'est pas vraiment dans mon style de prédilection. Néanmoins, malgré quelques clichés et les indécision du personnage principal, j'ai aimé cette histoire de reconstruction, d'isolement et de réflexion (bien que là on aurait pu avoir un peu plus de profondeur). Une histoire intéressante, très bien écrite, j'ai vraiment aimé le style d'écriture, toute en simplicité, mais très beau. Une surprise, une découverte, un bon moment de lecture!

4,5/5. Deuxième tome des aventures de Légion, personnage aussi originale que psychotique, que j'adore profondément. J'ai trouvé la fin un peu «garochée» c'est pourquoi j'enlève un demi point, tout s'enchaîne trop vite, et on tombe dans une conclusion un peu trop classique pour une histoire qui est pourtant tout sauf classique. Sinon, très bien, divertissant, drôle, captivant, c'est une de ces histoires où le personnage fait le livre, les aventures, l'action, tout est bien, mais cela sert surtout, à mon avis, à faire évoluer se personnage aux multiples facettes!

Appel à tous, j'ai eu un moment psychotique, comme le personnage, en lisant ce livre. À la page 79, dans le bas, la toute dernière ligne. Une question est adressée à Étienne. J'ai eu beau relire le passage, mais à moins que je l'ai complètement échappé, il n'y a aucun personnage nommé Étienne dans ce livre !?!?! Je n'ai pu m'empêché de me sentir personnellement interpellé et grandement troublé par ce passage. Alors si vous avez lu le livre ou si vous le possédez, j'apprécierais que vous validiez cette fameuse page 79 pour m'en faire part, car je demeure très perplexe encore aujourd'hui.

Good and original but it lack of something to make it great. Still more than enough to keep me in so we'll see what happen next!

The message is good and important, but the book in itself is way too basic. I love minimalist stuff, but here, it's not event that, this is clearly a lack of creativity, or talent, the storyline in itself is very simple, but alright. The illustration are a big problem here, they are sketch made by computer, like everybody could do we very low effort/ability/knowledge. Just don't look like a real professionnal published book!

I really liked the illustrations, original and cool style in my opinion. The story is also good, nothing very original, but good mix between action and storyline. I find the characters, and the concept behind him, really good, vampire looking but kind of cyborg hero, that was good!

This is exactly why I loved to read books that I know nothing about, because sometimes, I find one of those really great book/comic who I would have never read otherwise. This one was awesome. A lot of action yes, but it's really a intense story with cool and original characters that make it truly epic. I knew nothing of those «heroes» except Turok which I knew for an old video game from my childhood. I will surely look into it to find if there is more comic about those characters because I had a very good time reading that one!!
