I have listened to this audiobook so many times but it never disappoints. I read this book for the  first time as part of a book club when I was about 9 or 10 and I have loved it ever since. It’s exactly my sense of humour and legitimately hilarious. I honestly think the satirical nature of the jokes makes it even better as an adult, because there were definitely some things that I missed as a kid. 

While its mostly just funny, it does still touch on some pretty deep topics/emotions as well, and overall the story is short, sweet, and well rounded with extremely lovable characters and an absolutely bananas premise. 

10/10 would recommend this book to pretty much anyone. 

This is a reread, obviously. This series was my life as a kid and I still love it. I don’t think The Lightning Thief is my favourite PJO book but it’s still great. 

I only deducted a star because I’ve never loved the narrator of these audiobooks. His voice just doesn’t quite fit right and it annoys me.
