I had a whole review written for this but it was wiped by gr. With that said, i want to give this 4.5 stars. This is such a heartbreaking story and McMann does such a good job of showing the impact of the abduction on everyone.

I wanted more...felt like I wasn't given the whole story after we find out what has happened. I won't say anything here but I wanted more. I was told that this would be the case. I don't feel like this impacts the story negatively.

Good story and a quick read which is good considering I would not have put it down until I finished.

I loved this book and will admit I should have read it sooner. Man who plays guitar and writes lovely music..great combination. Review to come, i must gather my thoughts.

Tatoos, piercings, and a good guy....enough said. This was a quick read but has a solid story. The characters are likable which made the story. If I could I would give this 4.5.

Overall I enjoyed this book. As there always is in a book about high school, there are different levels of popular and unpopular. Alex falls into one group and Ella into the other.

I actually liked the majority of the characters in this book - they all seemed to have a purpose. The one I wish there were more of was Daniel. He seemed to pop in and out as needed (somewhat) but I felt like there should have been more of him.

I may have to stop reading books that are part of a series that isn't complete. If you don't like ginormous cliffhangers, wait to read this.

I felt like the story didn't make a ton of progress in this book. Yes, Rhine and Gabriel get away but end up trading one prison for another (initially). The relationship between Gabriel and Rhine doesn't really go anywhere and in the end, I have a lot of questions of what happened to him after Rhine left with Vaughn. He was such an integral piece throughout the rest of the book that I feel a bit cheated. With that said, the book is from Rhine's perspective so I get it - she doesn't know either.

I'm glad that Linden was brought back into the story and it is clear that the relationship that he and Rhine had before she left is gone. He still cares for her but is clearly angry and hurt.

I won't even mention the major cliffhanger that the book wraps with. I felt like it was very abrupt and I hate not having any resolution because truly, there wasn't an end to any one of the pieces to this story.

I continue to enjoy the story but will be waiting impatiently for the next book of the series.
