This is the fifth book in The Duchess Society series by Tracy Sumner and I enjoyed it - maybe not as much as some of the others but it was still a solid read. I have to say, if you haven't read the other books, you may not know who all the characters are and the back story so be warned...you might want to go back and read the other books before picking this one up.
I thought the characters were well done. As I mentioned, these characters are linked to other characters in the prior books and to be honest, I had to dig deep to remember them. Which is perfectly ok...I just wanted to know them better. I do think Sumner did a good job of pulling back to share more about Theodosia and Dash's history so I appreciated that and it definitely fed into their go forward story.
Overall this one was good and kept me turning the pages. Was it my favorite of the series, no but I'll still pick up Sumner's future books as I love her writing and she tells a great story.
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the copy in exchange for an honest review.

How to Best a Marquess is book 3 in The Widow Rules series by Janna MacGregor and if you haven't read the first two books, you'll should definitely stop and read them before you go any further into this one.
Beth is the last of the three wives impacted by Meri's duplicity and she is determined to find out what happened with her dowry because if she can't, her brother will force her to marry someone she definitely doesn't want to marry. To accomplish this, she asks the Marquess of Grayson (her former love) to help her out. When he agrees to help her out, they find themselves drawn to each other once again and the sparks begin to fly.
I love a good second chance romance so if you're looking for one that will keep you turning the pages, check this one out. Just make sure you read the other books first!

I LOVED this book! There was action, adventure, danger, romance, and SO MUCH MORE!! Seriously, I can't even write a review that will do this one justice so all I will say is go pick this book up.

This was a super fast read and while there were pieces that resonated around the Beauty and the Beast story, it felt like Lowham made this her own with a few twists.
I liked the characters and how their relationship built and despite the shortened length, I felt like I was able to get enough that it didn't feel like an insta-love situation.
If you're looking for a quick retelling that will keep you engaged, consider picking this one up. I'll definitely be checking out more from Lowham when I can.
