I’ve made it a mission to dip my toes into horror a little bit this year and I feel like this is actually a great intro to horror! 

This book also touches on some important topics surrounding queer erasure while still managing to have moments that made me laugh and moments that completely grossed me out! 

This is also my first book by this author and I found the writing style so refreshing after a lot of duds this past year!

Listen when I tell you I have had the hardest time with romantic fantasy’s lately, I am not joking! This book is was literally everything I wanted and maybe some aspects I didn’t know I wanted. It was the perfect blend of romance, yearning, mystery, suspense, and magic. This is such a unique premise that I have not seen attempted before and the author literally knocked it out of the ballpark! The magic seemed neat at first, if not a little surface level, but the bombshell she drops at the end makes it 10x more dynamic 🤭 and God I love a feminine rage revenge story….
