I'm so happy that I finally got around to reading this! Though the middle bit confused me for awhile, I really enjoyed this quick story! I can't wait to read more!

This story hooked me within the first few pages! Though this isn't by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, it definitely captured his style.

I took a number of writing classes in school and none of them prepared me for writing in the business world. For my first few assignments for work, I found that I was spending far too much time drafting, just to have it be so reworked that I hardly recognized it by the time it was published. To be totally honest, I felt stupid trying to write in the business world.

Of course, writing takes practice. Lots and lots of practice! After reading Everybody Writes, I wished that I had found it much earlier because I have learned so much from it. So do yourself a favor and read this book. Whether you are fresh out of school, or just want to improve your writing skills, this is a great read!

I was very conflicted about giving this book 3 stars or 4 stars... I decided to stick with 3 because even though I did really enjoy this story, I wouldn't say that I "really liked" it. I definitely enjoyed the other two books in the series much more! This one felt more whiny... and it irritated me at times when I found myself editing the wording (*note: I had a first edition, so hopefully the bits that annoyed me have been fixed!).

And that ending...

My god! Did the author just give up? I was very disappointed. What made it worse though, is that my copy of the book had a preview to "Alex" in it, so I thought I had more to read! There are many many many topics from the series that I wish we had closure on...

I liked this book. I'm a bit bummed because I don't think it came even close to living up to the hype I had heard about it... I had a hard time really getting into the book at first because of the format- I'm usually not a fan of books that switch between different character stories for each chapter. At times, I found that I had either confused the characters, or just lost interest, and needed to go back a bit. The overall story was interesting though! I would recommend this book to anyone interested in stories during times of war. However, I would not re-read this book.

Oh goodness this book. It was happy, it was sad, it was exciting, it was frustrating. I really couldn't put this one down. I just had to know what happened next and how everything was going to turn out! I hope to see these characters in another book soon!

Before reading this book, I had watched the TV series. I have to say, I had high hopes for this book, and the book went above and beyond what I was expecting! I was totally hooked on this story. I can't wait to read the next one!

On the inside jacket, there is one sentence that fully explains this book: "The Rosie Project is a rare find: a book that restores our optimism in the power of human connection." This is an absolutely beautiful story from beginning to end that explains the struggle of finding love. I would recommend this book to anyone! Especially those that really enjoyed reading "The Curious Case of the Dog in the Nighttime" by Mark Haddon.

One of my favorite quotes from the book is, "Take notice of your emotions as well as logic. Emotions have their own logic."- Claudia, speaking to Don.

I have yet to find a Mary Higgins Clark book that I didn't really like! The only reason why this one got 4 stars instead of 5 is because I found the main character to be a bit irritating at times. The plot was great. The ending was totally nerve-wracking. I had a hard time putting this book down!

LOVE THIS BOOK. Unfortunately I saw the movie before reading the book...so I knew how it was going to end. But I was still hanging off every word! I had such a hard time putting the book down. It was an absolutely amazing read. I love R's character!!
