This volume includes issues 1-6.
In the first issue of the volume, Deadpool goes to France to meet Anton Kruch, Prime Minister of One World Church (where everyone looks the same). Anton gives Deadpool a job- to go to Germany and retrieve a toxin (the Facade Virus) from the Sunic lab. Anton believes that the toxin can be used for good rather than evil. Next, we see Cable calling Irene Merryweather to get info about Sunic. While Deadpool is causing a huge scene at Sunic, Cable shows up.
In the second issue, we pick up with Cable and Deapool. Deadpool says, "blow my mind," so Cable shoots him right in the head and says that he will be long gone by the time Deadpool's healing factor kicks in. Next, we see a group of college kids (two boys and a girl) who call themselves the Spammers, who have taken the "virus." Then Deadpool and Cable meet up and discuss the virus. Cable says it needs to be destroyed and Deadpool says his employer says it can be used for good. Then Cable shoots Deadpool in the head again and head to a hotel where a man who has used the virus is melting. Cable takes him out, then takes out the other two that took the virus. Then Deadpool goes back to the blue colony.
In the third issue, we pick up with Cable testing his telekinetic powers to talk to Irene Merryweather. Then he has a discussion with Charles Xavier to ask him what good he can do with his powers before he can no longer control them. Later, Deadpool is being used as Anton Kruch's guinea pig and Cable is there watching without being seen to figure out what they're doing. They transform Deadpool into one of them. When they let Cable know that they knew he was snooping around the whole time, he then check the place out in the open. When Anton Kruch shows Cable "the Deliverance" he also says that they found a way to transmit the facade through the optic nerve, and Cable has been infected. When Cables goes to wreck the machine, Kruch lets Cable know that the facade also blocked his mutant abilities. Then Deadpool begins to fight with Cable.
In issue four, Deadpool and Cable fight quite a bit. Meanwhile, Irene Merryweather is trying to get information out of Sunic, but they aren't giving her much. Next, the readers find out that the batch that was stolen was flawed and that the good one is protected. Deadpool and Cable only stop fighting when Deadpool realizes that Cable isn't looking so good. Then Cable tells Deadpool that he's infected and will start to melt, Deadpool doesn't believe him until it starts happening.
In issue five, Deadpool and Cable are in quite the pickle. Deadpool is crawling over to Cable, but he melts before he gets there. Cable uses the last of his ability to move some of Deadpool's blood to him, which heals him. When Cable throws up, Deadpool grows out of the mess...Deadpool isn't pleased, but at least their both alive again and back on the same team. Then the head to Singapore to take out the real virus. When Cable gets there, their security (the Lightmaster) steps in. The Lightmaster is on One World Church's side, but Cable already knew that. So the plan that the Lightmaster and Anton had blows up, literally.
In issue six, we pick up after the explosion..which had turned everyone but Deadpool and Cable pink. Turns out Cable is behind this trick. The explosion infected everyone with a biological agent that Cable can control. Next we see Hammer and Irene Merryweather planning to save Cable from himself. Meanwhile, Cable is pulling up remnants of a space station that he used to own in order to restore his teleport matrix. What Cable doesn't know is that since he and Deadpool are now genetically bonded, when he goes to teleport, he merges with Deadpool and they have to split. Of course they begin fighting, and then Cable ends up "curing" the population of the virus and is called a savior. However, Deadpool walks away from the situation with the power to teleport just like Cable. In the very end, we see the X-Men approach SHEILD and tell them that they are ready to punish Cable for this stunt.

(Another re-read) The Baudelaire siblings find themselves in another unfortunate situation with an incredibly irritating Vice Principle and Olaf poorly disguising himself as a gym teacher. This is one of my favorites in the series because you get to meet the Quagmires and VFD is mentioned for the first time.
In this volume, we have Cable/Deadpool issues #7-12.
In issue 7, we pick up with Deadpool fighting monks in a monastery. Then The Cat appears and they begin fighting because the Cat has already snatched the thing that Deadpool went there for. Next, Deadpool goes to Weasel and asks him for information on the Cat and then tracks him to Tokyo. Turns out, The Cat has a piece of equipment that can stop Cable. Deadpool snatches it and bodysides to where Cable is. At the end of the issue, the Six Pack get ready to go get Cable.
In issue 8, Deadpool breaking into a lab on Long Island and takes something called a CVF, which a lab attendant says can cause serious damage to the planet or rupture reality. Deadpool takes it for his client anyway, but when he's getting away, The Cat shoots him with a dart that knocks him out and grabs the CVF (Chronal Vacuum Filter). But then the X-Men show up and take it from The Cat. Next, we see the Six-Pack trying to take down Cable for SHIELD, but they are only doing a bit of recon, so Cable ends up taking them to his island (which people are calling Providence) to show them what he's up to in hopes of persuading them to stay there. Later, we see Deadpool with the X-Men. Deadpool has been commissioned by their team to get 8 parts of the original base Cable built.
In issue 9, SHEILD shoot rockets at Cable, but he takes them and diverts their energy into outer space. They notice that Cable's nose is bleeding- diverting all that energy has taken a toll on him. So SHEILD calls in the X-Men team, which includes Deadpool who is wearing a rather revealing costume. Luckily for the team, Deadpool changes on the plane. When they get to Providence, Deadpool sides with Cable, shooting Wolverine and Bishop, and tells Cable that they are going to take out his gravity generators.S Soon after, Cable finds out that Deadpool supports him, even though Deadpool won't admit it out loud. The Six-Pack come in to fight the X-Men and soon we see Cyclops and Cable (father and son) talking. Cyclops tells Cable that the X-Men were just the first wave and that SHEILD will send others. Cable says nothing is as scary as facing Cyclops (his father) was. At the very end of the issue, Silver Surfer shows up.
In issue 10, they discover that Cable's generators were just for show. It turns out that it was Cable's telekinesis that was keeping Providence in the air. So when Silver Surfer injures Cable, SHEILD scrambles to get the people out of there before it falls. Deadpool thinks that Cable had a backup plan so he takes the tech that Cable had him steal and bodysides, getting him and Cable out of there. Then Deadpool hooks Cable up to the device that excises his powers by taking out parts of his brain- the parts that gave him his powers. At the end, it looks like Cable has died.

In this issue, we pick up with Cable narrating what happened in the last issue. He says that people are now after Deadpool because they believe he killed Cable. However, Weasel and Deadpool are trying to fix Cable. To do that, they need to steal an alien fetus from a lab. Meanwhile, the Six-Pack are all stuck in Cable's brain and he can't release them until he dies or gets fixed up. Next, Deadpool goes to visit the Fixer. At first they fight because there is a bit of bad blood between them, but when Deadpool offers the Fixer the job to help them fix Cable, he agrees and they stop fighting. Unfortunately, there is someone following them and when he tries to take out the embryo, the Fixers hand gets in the way, so the person busts into the lab.
In this issue, we pick up with Deadpool fighting Agent X, who has been hired to take Deadpool out. Deadpool rips his apart, but knows that he will heal soon so he hurries to help Weasel and The Fixer to help them with the baby alien so they can get it to Cable as soon as possible. Meanwhile, the Six Pack are all still stuck in Cable's mind and he lets it slip that if he dies, they all die too...unless Deadpool can save them all. When Deadpool and Fixer get to where Deadpool hid cable, they wake him up and re-introduce the techno-organic mesh into Cable's system. In Cable's mind, Domino is trying to convince him to fight back against the tech so he can get his body back. Cable gains ground and then he and the Six Pack wake up. Next, Cable plans to go back to Providence.

SO AMAZING. Everything in this collection was wonderful- the storyline, the character development and expression, the artwork, the coloring, the flow... and the DETAIL! Oh my goodness, there is so much detail in every panel. You can tell how much planning and work went into the creation of this series. Very well done!
In this issue, we pick up with Deadpool in a lab. The techs are working on his brain to try to convince him that superhumans are the biggest threat and that they need to be taken out. When Deadpool goes to find Cable, he ends up being put in a machine that allows the X-Men (Syrin and Cannonball) to follow soon after. When they find Cable, he is one of the 4 horsemen.

I LOVED Red Queen (the first book) so I was wicked excited to pick this one up... But I didn't like it. At all.
I was so bored through most of it that I struggled to just trudge through. The only thing that is keeping me from giving it a one star rating is the fact that there were a few bits I liked.
Overall, Mare drove me absolutely insane. She went from being this great character to one that screamed self-importance. One minute she was so full of herself, but then the next minute she would think she was nothing special. Also, one second she was in love with Cal, then she hated him, then she was in love with him again, then she hated him, and so on and so on.
I also felt that there was quite a bit of repetition, specifically in what Mare would think to herself, which always drives me up a wall.... I was not invested in this book at all. I was reading this with a friend, and when she texted to tell me it starts picking up, I thought "oh good! finally!!" I was so excited and had high hopes for the book finally drawing me in! But no... It may have been just because I was so ticked off at the rest of the book, but when I finished reading...my only thoughts were "Saw that coming..." and "glad that ones over." I'm not sure if I will read the next book (if there is one?).
Side note: Kiwi's review sums up my thought process while reading this book nicely :)

In this issue, Deadpool has encountered Sinister. Before too much happens, Deadpool asks to use his bathroom and Sinister tells him where it is. They continue the convo while Deadpool relieves himself. When Syrin and Cannonball join them, they all have dinner and learn that this baby Cable is a clone and that Sinster put drugs in their food. Soon, Syrin and Cannonball go through a teleport while Deadpool stays behind. Sinister snags some of Deadpools blood and tries to make baby Cable an adult but baby Cable just had a tantrum. Deadpool tries to take the baby from Sinister and seems to have a real soft spot for the kid. At ten end of the issue, Deadpool body slides with the kid.
In the 'Dear Deadpool' section, Deadpool says "I should play me in the movie! Who else could grasp the wonder that is me? I hear that Ryan Reynolds kid was interested..."
