In this issue, another of Mary's personalities comes out and she goes on a killing spree. While Deadpool tries to stop her, his will is tested. He wants to stay true to Syrin, but just trying to help her is proving to be much more difficult than he thought.

We also get a glimpse into Psi-Lab of Landau, where a woman named Zoe seems to be watching over Deadpool's actions.

In this issue, Deadpool gets the orders to rescue a woman from a mental institution. But wait, there's also an order to assassinate a woman in the same room in the institution. Because Deadpool has given up killing in order to impress Siryn, he takes Weasel along with him. In the institution, Deadpool and Weasel run into The Vamp, who after fighting for a bit, turns into Animus.

After crashing through a wall, Deadpool finds Mary Walker and learns why there were two orders out- Mary has multiple personalities, one of which hired him to kill her, one hired Animus to kill him...So now who is he stuck with? Typhoid Mary.

Favorite line:
When The Vamp turns into Animus, Deadpool turns to look at the reader and says, "That's something you don't see everyday. Eww!"

We find out why Deadpool is having trouble with his regeneration, and it definitely isn't the news he was hoping for.

Good news! The infusion of blood from the Hulk appears to have healed Deadpool. Though Doctor Killbrew says that Deadpool's regeneration will never be the same. For example, he won't be able to re-form an appendage.

At the end of the issue, Deadpool takes a risk and asks Siryn if they're together. She doesn't say the option is completely out of the picture, but for now they're buds.

Favorite line:
"Must it come to this, Wilson?"- Doctor Killbrew
"No, not necessarily. We could have a big musical finale and walk off into the clouds. But I detest musicals. Sorry."-Deadpool

Favorite scene:
The needle injection that Deadpool is so afraid of.
"Really Wilson, You've had more stab wounds than I have hairs on my head! Don't tell me you're scared of a little needle?"

Black Tom is still after Deadpool. And yet again, Deadpool and Siryn find themselves in the middle of a bad situation. They get out, but Deadpool has many broken bones, has been shot three times, and his regeneration is still on the fritz. To make things more interesting, the hand that Deadpool lost has been brought to Black Tom. The doctor's plan is to graft Deadpools regenerating cells to Black Tom in order to fight the woody growth that has been taking over Black Tom's body.

Favorite line:
"Something's wrong with him. A weird wood growth is eating' him alive."- Juggernaut
"So I'll send him a bag of termites."-Deadpool

Favorite line:
"Uhhh...me, a nice guy? What do I do then? Change my name to Kiddie Pool and start a water park? I don't think so."

Deadpool, Syrin and Banshee make it to an old castle in New York. In one of the rooms, Syrin and Banshee encounter Black Tom, and a fight begins. Meanwhile, Deadpool, who went into another room, finds the doctor, Killebrew, that made him who he is. Because Deadpool's regeneration has been wonky, he tells the doc to fix him. But he gets interrupted by the commotion in the other room (when Syrin comes flying through the wall actually) and quickly joins the fight.

In the fight between Deadpool and the Juggernaut, Deadpool's mask comes off and Syrin sees his face for the first time- she's horrified at first, but then acts like it is nothing.

When Deadpool escapes this time, he brings the doctor with him, making him promise to help fix him.

Favorite line:
"Hey! It--? IT IS! Somebody put my hand on your arm! EeeEEEww! You don't know where that thing has been!"-Deadpool

I've read a few Deadpool collections, but now thanks to the Marcel Unlimited subscription, I'm starting at the beginning.

In this issue, Deadpool is hanging out at a bar when Black Tom's men bust in and attempt to kidnap him. Deadpool easily gets out of the attacks thrown at him, until his "favorite hand" gets cut off. He isn't concerned at first, but then he becomes worried when his regeneration doesn't kick in. During the fight, Banshee and Siryn swoop in to help.
