Brilliant writing, great character building; awful pacing.

Até ler esse aqui, minha experiência com os livros do Eric tinha sido bem diversa, acho. Amei A sombra no sol, fiquei incerto sobre Neon Azul... enfim. Eu não podia saber, portanto, o que me esperava em Exorcismos. O que acabei encontrando foi, bem, uma fantasia urbana incrível e uma história que, com toques (na maior parte indiretos) de Hellblazer, Sandman e Alice, me cativou quase instantaneamente. Eric Novello tem um domínio absurdo sobre as palavras, and it shows. O mundo no qual Libertà está inserida é rico, bem-explorado, apresentado ao leitor de forma primorosa, sem artifícios óbvios como o infodump. Esse aqui é o livro para ler se você quiser saber por que o Eric é tão aclamado.

Só queria saber quando é que teremos uma história solo da Julia.

Maybe because InterWorld wasn't written by Gaiman alone, but in a collaboration with Michael Reaves, I can't help feeling it would've been better executed as the animated something they wanted at first. This doesn't read like a Neil Gaiman novel. It's very YA-ish (middle grade, even?), and I can picture my younger self enjoying it very much, but I've read my fair share of Gaiman stuff over the years, and I felt let down by this one.

It is what it is: your average teen fantasy/sci-fi adventure story.
