I actually think that I liked this one better than Dark Space. Now we go deeper: into Brady's POV, into his relationship with Cam, into what his sister means to him, into the Faceless. He's still an annoying little shit, though, so thank fuck for that. Darker Space also kinda fixes one issue I had, and Brady talks about his sexuality a bit.

i wasn't sure about writing this review or not, but here we go! luminescent threads really is a beautiful, beautiful book, undoubtedly so. but it's also kind of... samey? and it's no one's fault, really, it really isn't, every letter here is heartfelt and sweet, and i truly believe that every author involved spoke from the heart, but it does get a little tiring after the tenth narration of very similar experiences.

having said that... octavia butler. what can i say? she just had it, she did. what i wouldn't give to have met octavia butler, to attend one of her writing classes. dear octavia... thanks for everything; you are everything. can't wait to read more of your work.

i don't think i can explain why this is such a special book to me, but it is. charlie's life and experiences are very different from mine, but i see so much of myself in him, i feel so much of how he sees the world, and maybe that's the point or maybe it's really not a good thing, but to me it's just infinite.

Minha única CRÍTICA é
Spoilero cliffhanger no final, quero saber logo o que aconteceu
. O bom de ler enquanto amigo da Paula é entender parte da inspiração e das ideias por trás dessa joiazinha, acompanhar de perto a transformação de uma mulher que se dizia "medrosa" em fã de terror — e que terrorzinho gostoso, esse.
