Someone describes this one to me as "a wild ride" and oh boy is it. It is exactly what I've come to expect from te Locked Tomb series: a delightfully unexpected puzzle. Can't wait for Alcto... 

The novel is unusual and the topic is interesting - however the characters left me cold and I found the pacing is a bit off. The main character seems to have a personality transplant two thirds of the way through the book and the novel reads completely different after that. I wanted to like this more, but alas, I didn't.

This collection of stories has some very strong entries. In the end there were more stories that didn't really work for me and the final one, that ties it all together failed to bring off the conclusion successfully for me. The tone was just so different. If you're a fan of post-apocaliptic fiction, you may want to give it a go anyway - the highs were worth the lows for me. But I wanted to love this more! 

Very interesting but the argument is lost under anecdote upon anecdote upon anecdote. They are very interesting anecdotes but they do not paint a clear line of argument. If I hadn't been audiobooking I would have DNF'd. To much repetition in this huuuuuuuuge book. 

Sweet, an ode to late 90's rom-coms. Ever so slightly less absurd than the first one, but still pretty absurd, in a good way :)!
