This was the cute fun romance I needed.
While this did have the dreaded miscommunication trope, I also felt it made sense for these characters especially in their past. But it also happened due to stubbornness and hurt feelings that have been lingering for 12 years.
Seth and Lana had chemistry straight away. I had fun seeing their back and forth. Watching them reconnect and finally admit their feelings and let go of the past.
Not only did we see this but we also watch Lana grow as a person. Doing these tasks, which were out of her comfort zone, she ended up learning so much about herself and also confronting her mother and her boss.
This was such a fun and quick read. I definitely want to check out more of Falon's books.

This was much darker than I thought it would be.
With themes of postpartum depression/psychosis.
Isabelle is portrayed as an unreliable narrator. With her history of sleepwalking, a mystery in her past and being sleep deprived now her son is missing.
Throughout the book there's moments where you question both Isabelle and her husband Ben. I found some things became obvious but they didn't ruin the story as the build up to those moments had me gripped.
This book has twists and turns throughout. Making me question everyone.
While it took me a couple of chapters to get fully invested once I was I just couldn't put the book down. Not wanting to sleep until I finished.
