This sounded like a cute read that I needed. I hoped it would be a quick read as I had less than 11 hours to read it for BookoplAThon. I ended up taking around 6 hours, that includes stopping for food. I flew through this. Once I started I couldn’t put it down.

This was indeed a cute read. I rarely actually laugh out loud while reading but this managed to on multiple occasions.

Sure the romance itself was predictable but honestly I don’t care. I just sat back and enjoyed watching the relationship happen. While wanting to shake both of them at times.

This was a cheesy book. But in the best way. I need this as a cheesy movie to be honest.
The meet cutes were adorable but hilariously bad. While I was just wanting her to end up with the only real meet cute. The best on of all.

Ezra and Monty were annoying me throughout the book. Evie deserved better than having to deal with them.

I loved the friendship group being a main part of the book. They are hilarious together. I wouldn’t mind a book about one of the friends. As long as Evie, Ben and Anette make an appearance.

I loved Ben and Anette. Their relationship was so cute. They make a great little family. Then add Evie and its perfect. I liked that Evie never treated Anette different because she wears hearing aids. Instead she learns some sign language, basic but its the thought that counts.

I need more from this author. She could become a favourite rom-com author for me.

This started a little slow. Took probably around 150 pages to really get into it for me. But after that I couldn't put it down.

Although I did enjoy this I felt like it had some plot holes. A few things didn't make sense. It was a very convoluted plot. Too much going on. The FBI agents also seemed useless. Just waited for Decker to tell them what to do and where to go.

The motive didn't make sense to me. I get wanting revenge on those who hurt the character but majority of the victims were innocent people who didn't know the person. Even the reason to go after Decker family didn't make a whole lot of sense.

The LGBTQ "rep" if you want to call it that was a little uncomfortable for me. Having just one LGBTQ character who just happened to be a murderer didn't work for me.

This got 3 stars because despite the things I didn't like I was still intrigued the whole time. I wanted to know how every victim was connected to Decker. Why was his family killed.

I'm going to DNF this and try again with the audiobook
