i really don’t know what is about the way lynn painter writes that makes me melt every single time. like obviously this premise is super immature and some of the conflict is trivial, but the prose and delivery is so heartbreakingly beautiful idk

it just really didn’t do it for me idk

i’m sorry but this was so dumb. rtc. i’ll catch up with all my reviews after midterms

i’m crying i’m sobbing i’m a mess i’m so so so happy I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH I DO NOT EVEN REMOTELY KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH MYSELF RIGHT NOW i cannot put into words how this book made me feel like this should be illegal….

THAT BLOW POP SCENE???? im dead im gone.

crew was written by a woman (literally) i wish someone would love me like this

nearly 800 highlights i need to be institutionalized.

i say this with the utmost respect and love: this was the most ridiculous book i have ever read. i mean the plot lines were just absurd! the author set up the suspense so well. a few were predictable but most of the reveals were literally jaw dropping.

when i read that the blurb compared this to GOSSIP GIRL i was like come on there’s no way… YES WAY. turns out that is a very apt description. this book drips of opulence and mystique. i was HOOKED.

some parts were a little hard to keep up with. it took me about 5 days to read which isn’t normal for me. it also caught me in a bad time bc i’m swamped with school right now.

i took off a star bc some of the love interest’s actions were questionable to me. i don’t like controlling, take-charge guys, but i know a lot of people do, especially in novels, and it didn’t take away from my enjoyment of the book as a whole.

not sure why it’s called Ivy because that’s the name of only one of the three main girls, but whatever.
