there was one part that was a little slow but other than that so cute

this book sucked sooo bad. i hated the fmc, the mmc was just barely tolerable, i did not care at all ab their relationship, and the third act breakup was forced and so fucking lame. and alex kydd is officially my least favorite male narrator oh my god he’s the worst.

hard to rate this honestly bc i did enjoy it and i loved seeing liz and wes again ……but..
this had none of the magic that bttm had. like at all. the characters were way different and there were a lot of red flags. the resolution was very much a bandaid on a bullet wound. i felt more confident in their relationship at the end of the last book when they were in freakin high school. than i did in this one. i fully believe they will break up again after this one. they prob should not have gotten back together in the first place if im honest. it’s still 3.5 stars though bc i did enjoy reading it and wasn’t on the verge of a dnf at any point.
also it’s genuinely fucking weird how obsessed lynn painter is with taylor swift. i want to read a book that YOU wrote, not play word search for lyrics to pop songs written for teenagers. this is not swiftie shade btw i am a swiftie but this is actually ridiculous. it was like she was trying to shove as many references in as she could and it took me out of the book.
