Honestly a good book for ages 1-101. So many beautifully depicted and simply written life lessons. I can definitely see what the hype is about - this is bound to become a classic family read-aloud!

This was an enjoyable story following twelve characters, all from Native communities who are going to the Big Oakland Powwow. I loved how these stories wove together and spoke on a subject I’ve never read about before: being Native American in an urban setting. Worth the read to get this unique point of view.

This book is definitely worth the read for anyone in the Christian community, and should absolutely be read by parents of gay children, gay children with Evangelical parents, and church staff. While I wish there was more emphasis on Drew’s 18+ years and specifically how that looked more practically in their relationship, I found this to be a really valuable read.
