Thanks to Katie Bailey for the copy of this book!
Katie Bailey can do no wrong. She’s such a fantastic writer of clean contemporary romance that has great tension, and makes me laugh & swoon.
Season’s Schemings is a marriage of convenience hockey romance, where Maddie and pro hockey player Sebastian Slater get married partially as revenge for her ex breaking up with her on live TV. And revenge it is - Sebastian’s interactions with “Eugene”, Maddie’s ex - had me laughing so hard. Maddie and Seb are so easy to root for, and I love how they became friends and eventually, more. This is short and sweet, and absolutely perfect for your holiday TBR!

Hazel Sharp is the only daughter of longtime Mirror Lake Detective Perry Holt. When he passes away, she inherits his house, returning to the town she chose to leave behind long ago. As the water level of the Lake drops, what’s hidden beneath is slowly revealed… and someone doesn’t want the secrets to come out.
Megan Miranda wrote a completely atmospheric thriller with Daughter of Mine. It’s moody and unsettling, and really picks up in the second half of the book. I really enjoyed following Hazel’s POV and thought using different family relationships as part names was clever. If you’re into disappearances, estranged siblings, small town murder mysteries, or wondering if someone’s watching you, you’ll definitely want to pick this book up!

Sarah Adams… *chef’s kiss*
The Cheat Sheet was everything I hoped it would be. Sarah uses her genius brain to write the best romances with fantastic chemistry, great main and side characters, and wonderfully hysterical phrasing. I loved the sports aspect in this one and also the accurate portrayals of depression and anxiety.
I love Bree. I LOVE Nathan. I will read anything Sarah writes. The end. Now… about a book for Jamal….?
