Not going to rate this, because it's not a novel or anything. I've been slowly reading this for over a year and have really enjoyed it! It helps to touch on things that we've never heard/learned in the novels. Also a great resource for a shadowhunter fanfic writer such as myself. Some parts could be a little boring - but that's history for ya! Plus, Clary, Jace, and Simon writing and doodling in it was a cool touch.

This was just as entertaining as the first! Can't wait to read the second!

I definitely see the hype with this, I really loved it! I just don't think this is worth 5 stars, I've heard it just gets better! If you love sci-fi and graphic novels, read it!

Really enjoyed this kick-ass diverse main character, I just thought the plot lacked a bit. I can definitely see where it's going though, and I'm excited for the next volume! 4 stars.

The drama got jacked up so high in this one, how do I not rate it 5 stars?!

4/5 stars

I thought this volume was much better than the first, we got to dive into the actual plot line and after getting through all the character development of the first. I really wasn't the biggest fan of the first, but I'm glad I continued with the second and think I'll keep going as the volumes come out. I think Kamala's character is super relatable to fangirls everywhere and if you enjoy awesome ladies (and awesome teenagers) you should check this out.

Finished this over Vacation and I LOVED IT! I'm officially giving this a 5/5 star even though I tweeted it was a 4.5 after finishing it. I really loved this story and all it's strange quirks. I think it really captured the reality of cancer and what it can do to the person and the people around them, but it was also really funny. I also loved the totally-not-perfect main character and his personality. Watching his life suddenly unravel around his un-friend's sickness and how it effects him.
I just think this is a really great book, and definitely worth the read.

PS it's nothing like TFIOS. Literally, I can't believe people are comparing them.

I honestly loved everything about this book, and then there's the insta-love. I'll gather my thoughts and write out a better review in the near-future.

Amazing artwork. Great characters. Minimal reading. Lots of potential.
