I really hate this series and these characters lol 

DNF'd - don't know why I just can't get into this! Upset because I love Renée Ahdieh's writing style.

DNF at chapter 4. Can't do the insta-love, she's not like other girls, corny nonsense. And I thought this was a holiday themed book but it's not so I'm even less motivated to continue. 

DNF. I’m trying this new thing where I don’t force myself to finish series/ read books I don’t like! I read Matched last year (I think) and it was just okay. Nothing special to me and I didn’t resonate with any of the characters. I knew a girl who read this series when I was in high school and maybe if I had read it then too, I would have enjoyed it.

I think I’m going to DNF this for now. I’ll circle back but I just don’t think adult fiction is for me yet. Just feels really slow going and as much as I hate instalove, this is too slow burn for me at the moment.  I feel a bit bamboozled because the title and cover give me “fun, summer, rom-com” vibes (yet another lesson to never judge the book by its cover). This book has far more depth and emotion than that, which is fine. Just not what I’m vibing with right now!
