Just not my type of stories. I felt like I couldn't understand the main plot. Maybe it was the translation. Maybe it's just not my thing. But I can't get back into it. All good! I don't doubt it's not great!

Everything up till the end was fantastic to me. My husband and I were reading this book together and had so much fun staying up and discussing who-dunnit. During the final 25% of the book we were passing the book back and forth reading chapters.
I really enjoyed this read UNTIL the writing seemed to change near the 65% mark. Up to this point the writing was set up that you knew what the main protagonist knew. And then it switched. Where he would have an idea, read something, think something, and it was kept hidden from you as the reader. I felt kicked out of a Convo with my best friend wondering what was going on.
The ending happened and I was so disappointed. Both my husband and I felt like there was really no way we could have figured out who did it. Yet, apparently the protagonist had figured it out chapters ago. The motive for everything was lame and it fell flat. Which was so disappointing because I loved the writing, characters, and story up till that point. I wish it was better.

I loved returning to the Discworld in this second book. Rincewind had a great character arc. He is a fantastic character! I enjoyed the introduction of new characters and the return of others.
I was filled with wonder and inspired by this book. It's a short read but filled with so much fun and humor. Discworld is a place you need to visit. Characters are memorable and the quick wit is written beautifully. I was literally laughing out loud.
