Second book I’ve read from her! I read the Housemaid first then this book. I enjoyed the Housemaid a lot, and I like certain things about this book:

1. I enjoyed telling the story from different perspectives, the tape recordings, and the different timelines.
2. This ending was different from the Housemaid because the bad guys win in this one.

Things I didn’t enjoy:

1. For someone with a PhD and is considered one best psychiatrist out there, she was very easy to blackmail.
2. I thought Adrianne was dumb and her patient who she’s been dealing with for three years outsmarted her.


Anyways, I still enjoyed reading this book and will continue to read more. I just don’t think this was on the same level as The Housemaid.

This book is so wholesome. I read In the Lives of Puppets, and I had to read another T.J. Klune book. HE DOES NOT DISAPPOINT!!

Devoured!!! Now I’m reading other books by this author. I highly recommend!

3.5⭐️ what a wild and chaotic ride! I took half a star off because of the ending. It was a fast and engaging read! I read it in one sitting and it took me 5 hours with some breaks here and there. This whole family is a mess, and I wanted to learn more about the characters. I wanted to learn more about their backgrounds and stories especially the parents.
