Glad I pre-ordered.

While I loved reading the physical book, and gave it a 4 star, this audiobook version was deserving of a 5 based just on the performance of the narrators. This was such an enjoyable way to experience a reread of these stories.

Definitely not your typical bedtime tales!

While I didn't enjoy all the stories equally - finding some more morbid than others - they all met the title at fullspeed. The cast also did a wonderful job with all the stories and the interludes with Nick Offerman giving his thoughts, or a personal tale, were really awesome. The reason I got this book was due to watching him on Parks and Recreation, but the rest of the cast were equally as impressive in this read.

I've been raving about & recommending this book since I read it back in January. And the audio? Has made it even more of a lovely, moving read. I can't say that I've managed to fully describe the ways in which this book moved me - how it made me cry - but until I do. . . Well, this review will have to be a suitable placeholder. Though seriously, read this book.

My boyfriend and I have been a fan of these comics for years now. We're always amused at how many of them fit us as a couple. And we're always tagging each other in Facebook when we see one that suits the other or both of us in general. They're just such sweet representations of love. So when I came across this beautiful little hardcover at Target one day, I had to have it. I'm absolutely glad I bought it too as parts of the months of March and May are a little tough for me these days, but when I was feeling down I picked up this book. . . and smiled, felt bubbly, laughed. It's a well-done little comic collection that I'm proud to have on my shelf and definitely recommend.
